4-H In-School Enrichment and Junior Fair Board
Today was a fun-filled day at Crim Elementary School. The 4-H In-School Enrichment Program presented “Quilts In The Classroom”. Students constructed quilt blocks that will become part of a quilt donated to the neonatal unit at St. Vincent’s Hospital in Toledo. The class also enjoyed reading “The Quiltmaker’s Gift” by Jeff Brumbeau and learning about cotton and how it is related to Agriculture. Vintage feedsacks and quilt blocks were on display for enjoyment along with a 1950’s Featherweight Sewing Machine.
The 4th graders are also studying “Go Plants” and “Chick Quest” through the 4-H In-School Enrichment Program.
Last night The Junior Fair and Senior Fair Board Livestock Committees met to review planning for the 2009 fair. It is only a few short months away.
